South Korea arrested two crypto citizens, one of them a crypto exchange executive for stealing military secrets and getting paid in crypto. The executive got $600,000 since working for the agent and South Korea is yet to catch the North Korean spy who is likely operating overseas. According to the South Korean police and prosecution officials, the head of the exchange contacted the spy in July 2021 and helped them gather more military secrets. The two who met online at a crypto community six years ago failed to hack into the military communication system.

The 38-year-old executive recruited a 29-year-old military captain who directed them to take pictures of data via a camera disguised as a watch and send him a “poison tap” USB computer hacking device. The South Korean authorities said the captain gave the login information of the Korean Joint Command and Control System to the exchange executive and the agent but revealed no details regarding the stolen data.

North Korea is well-known as the most unpredictable and the most worrying nation throughout the world. Throughout the years it was seen that North Korea is constantly working on developing nuclear weapons and is working and funding a few other projects that pose a national security threat to other nations. The members of the group are using more effective tactics and are more careful overall, as the report calls to caution.
