888poker XL Series

888poker crowned three more XL Spring Series champions over the weekend in addition to a trio of side events winners. Those six players go their hands on chunky payouts all while the $120,000 guaranteed Tune Up event reached the official nine-handed final table.

Aragorn92 and Dobfen Chip $25,000 DeepStack

The XL Spring Series #14 event was a $55 buy-in $25,000 guaranteed affair that drew in 495 players. The top 72 finishers won a portion of the $25,000 prize pool, with the tournament ending in a heads-up chop between Germany’s “Aragorn72” and “Dobfen” of Canada.

Those players who navigated their way into the top five saw their $55 investment swell into a four-figure result. United Kingdom’s “ybird1721” was the first of that quintet to win more than a grand, $1,292 to be exact.

Austrian grinder “Tighterinho” was the third-place finisher; they collected $2,402 for their effort. The Austrian’s demise left Aragorn72 and Dobfen heads-up up, and the last standing duo decided to strike a deal that concluded the event. Dobfen officially finished in second place for $3,644 while the champion, Aragorn72, took home $4,243.
