Sports betting operator BetWarrior became this week the new sponsor of the Argentine National Soccer Team, after closing an agreement for the next four years with the Argentine Soccer Association (AFA).
For the first time, a betting company is involved in Argentine soccer at this level, after the governments of the City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires authorized this gaming activity last year.

BetWarrior is an Argentine company that is present in eleven countries in the region, and will debut as a sponsor on June 1, the day on which the Argentine national team will play the “Finalissima” against Italy. To be played in the city of London, the match is in honor of soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away in 2020.
The agreement signed by the authorities of the betting portal and the AFA includes other national teams, such as the national women’s team, the futsal team, and the beach soccer team. The operator will also sponsor the Argentine Cup and the National Tournament.
Regarding this important agreement, Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA, said: “We are very pleased to add a brand like BetWarrior to AFA’s sponsors. This agreement includes the sponsorship of the Argentine National Team and some local soccer tournaments, which is important for AFA and for the teams as well.”
Since the beginning, “we have been working to continue generating resources aimed at the economic soundness of our institution and of the clubs that are part of AFA,” Tapia added. “Without a doubt, in this important year, we redoubled our efforts, and we are focused on generating new trade agreements in that direction. We welcome BetWarrior to our Association. We will work together to get the most out of this agreement.”

BetWarrior joins brands such as Adidas, Binance, Coca Cola, YPF, Sancor Seguros, Schneider, Toro, and Naldo as official sponsors of the Argentine team ahead of the Qatar World Cup.
